A CHRISTMAS WISH
With two days left before Christmas, I thought it would be a good time to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year and also to give to you my Christmas wish.
My wish for everyone reading this is for you to take the time to pick up a copy of the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights and give it a good and thoughtful read. Think about what was going on in our young nation when these documents were written. Think about what was happening in our country that necessitated the need to make the Amendments to the Constitution. Give a thought to the men and women who struggled, fought and died so that these right could be given to all of us. A small few willing to sacrifice their freedoms so that we could have more freedom. These men and women had to fight, protest, sacrifice, and sometimes die so that we could live a life that had more freedom than they had. Give this a thought and then give thanks to those people.
My wish is that by reading these documents you will yearn to learn more about what it takes to be free. My wish is that you will value your freedoms and cherish them. I hope you will fight for them so that you can hand these gifts down to your children and grandchildren. Teach them of these gifts and how fragile they really are. How easily they can be taken from them by evil men and women in positions of power. Teach them how they can be active in the process to oust those evil men and women and replace them with people of integrity who value these gifts as much as they do.
My gift to all of you reading this is that you have my word I will fight this fight for you. If you cannot afford a copy of the Constitution please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will sent you a copy.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
